Homburger partner Gabrielle Nater-Bass appointed to the LCIA Court
On June 3, 2020, the Board of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) confirmed the appointment of Homburger partner Gabrielle Nater-Bass as a new member of the LCIA Court.
The LCIA remains one of the largest international arbitration institutions today. The LCIA Court is made up of up to thirty five members, plus representatives of associated institutions, selected to provide and maintain a balance of leading practitioners in commercial arbitration, from the major trading areas of the world. The LCIA Court is the final authority for the proper application of the LCIA Rules. Its principal functions are appointing tribunals, determining challenges to arbitrators, and controlling costs.
Gabrielle Nater-Bass is a partner in Homburger’s Litigation and Arbitration practice team and has acted as counsel and arbitrator in a vast number of cases. Moreover, she advises clients in complex cross-border disputes before state courts.
Gabrielle Nater-Bass is currently President of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers› Arbitration Institution (SCAI), board member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and co-chair of the ICCA-ASIL Task Force on Damages in International Arbitration. She received the Client Choice Award this year in the category Arbitration & ADR (Switzerland).
