Stefan Kramer

Stefan Kramer’s practice focuses on capital markets and banking law. He regularly advises on asset based financings (covered bonds and securitizations), banking regulation (including regulatory capital transactions) and derivatives markets regulations. Other areas of work include insolvency law and financial markets infrastructures.

Stefan Kramer advises on all regulatory aspects, including banking and stock exchange regulations and derivatives market regulations. He is head of Homburger’s Restructuring | Insolvency Working Group and regularly works on insolvency related matters, including recovery and resolution planning and cross-border recognition of insolvency measures.

Stefan Kramer regularly works on regulatory capital transactions and gone-concern capital instruments (write-down bonds and bail-in bonds). He was involved in the structuring and implementation of a number of innovative asset based financings, including Switzerland’s first covered bond programme as well as domestic and cross-border asset securitization transactions involving different asset classes.

He regularly publishes on banking and financial market matters and is an editor of the Commentary on the Swiss Banking Act as well as the Commentary on the Swiss Financial Market Infrastructure Act.
