On December 6, 2023, Müller Martini and Hunkeler, both global market leaders with innovative solutions for post-print paper processing, announced the combination of the two businesses. Müller Martini Holding AG acquired all shares in Hunkeler Holding AG from the Hunkeler family and CIC CAPITAL (Suisse) SA.
Homburger acted as transaction counsel to Müller Martini. The team included Andreas Müller, Karin Mattle, Cédric Berger, Caroline Grand and Erik Habich (all Corporate / M&amp;A), Richard Stäuber and Nicolas Stocker (both Competition / Regulatory), Joel Fink (IP / IT) as well as Philippe Weber and Jonas Stähli (both Tax).

On November 30, 2023, Wöhrle Group, headquartered in Wildberg, Germany, has announced that it had acquired Oskar Rüegg Holding AG, headquartered in Jona, Switzerland, and its subsidiaries (Switzerland / Bulgaria / Mexico).
Both companies specialize in the manufacture of sophisticated stamped parts and assemblies and are established players in the industry. Both companies together have revenue of around EUR 100 m in the automotive and other industries.
Homburger advised the Wöhrle Group on this transaction. The Homburger team was led by Daniel Häusermann and included Claudine Schär and Erik Habich (all Corporate / M&amp;A), Reto Heuberger, Peter Müller and Philippe Weber (all Tax), Stefan Kramer and Fabrice Eckert (both Banking / Finance) as well as Jonas Krull (Regulatory / Competition).

On June 29, 2023, Migros, a cooperative union active in the retail space and Switzerland&#8217;s largest employer, announced the next steps in its plan to bundle its supermarket business (CHF 12 bn. revenues in 2022) in a centrally governed standalone company, Migros Supermarkt AG. Migros Supermarkt AG is scheduled to start its operations on January 1, 2024.
Homburger AG is advising Migros on all corporate, tax and competition law aspects of this reorganization.
