Homburger partner Gabrielle Nater-Bass named co-chair of new task force on damages in international arbitration

The International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and the American Society of International Law (ASIL) have formed a new task force on damages in international arbitration, co-chaired by Homburger partner Gabrielle Nater-Bass and Catherine Amirfar, partner at US law firm Debevoise & Plimpton. The task force will analyze the legal and policy issues underpinning damages computations, as well as the various financial methodologies used in traditional damages analyses by using an interdisciplinary model. Its overarching goal is the development of a damages tool of practical application for arbitrators and practitioners alike.

Gabrielle Nater-Bass is a partner in Homburger’s Litigation / Arbitration team. She recently took over as president of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution and has contributed to a new GAR book Damages in International Arbitration, together with Homburger associate Stefanie Pfisterer.
