Yukos / Khodorkovski

Thomas Müller (partner Litigation / Arbitration) and Thomas Pietruszak (associate Litigation / Arbitration) acted successfully in connection with a Russian request for international legal assistance relating to the Yukos / Khodorkovsky case. Following a decision by the Swiss Supreme Court the Federal Prosecution Office was forced to lift the blockage of bank accounts. It further announced that no documents would be transferred to the Russian authorities. According to the Supreme Court the criminal prosecution in Russia against Mr. Khodorkovsky, his associates and his companies was instigated solely for political reasons.
