Homburger represents car importer AMAG in Ticino bid-rigging investigation before COMCO

On June 26, 2018, the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) opened an investigation into AMAG Automobil und Motoren AG (AMAG), the retail organization of the independent Swiss importer for cars of the Volkswagen group (VW), as well as other car dealers in the canton of Ticino. COMCO conducted dawn raids both upon opening the investigation in June 2018 and in December 2019. The competition agency is investigating whether the car dealers may have rigged their bids in public tenders for contracts concerning the supply of VW group vehicles and may have engaged in other forms of collusive behavior.
