Homburger elects new partner
The partners of Homburger are pleased to announce that Gerald Brei became partner of the firm as of January 1, 2010.Gerald Brei studied law at the University of Munich (and Lausanne). He graduated in 1988, received his doctorate in 1991 and passed his second state law examination in 1992. After working for a year as a civil servant at the Bavarian Ministry for education, sciences and art, he was admitted to the Munich bar and joined the Siemens legal department in 1993. He left for private practice in 2001, worked for two law firms in Munich, then joined Homburger in 2005.Gerald Brei’s practice focuses on antitrust law and all questions related thereto. He has extensive experience in merger control as well as in providing advice regarding restrictions of competition in contracts of all kind. He represents clients in investigations and penalty proceedings and advises on compliance programs.Gerald Brei has published articles regarding antitrust law and has given lectures at conferences. He is a member of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht (the German antitrust law association) and is a Swiss delegate to the ICC Competition Commission.
