Homburger awarded with The American Lawyer’s Global Legal Awards 2016: Global Finance Deal of the Year (Private Restructuring)

On July 14, 2016, The American Lawyer selected its fourth annual Global Legal Awards. Homburger received the award for the Global Finance Deal of the Year: Private Restructuring. The award honors Homburger’s involvement in the restructuring of Kautphing hf.The landmark transaction follows the failure of Kaupthing Bank hf., which entered into Icelandic insolvency proceedings in 2008 with liabilities of more than USD 45 bn and creditors in more than 100 countries.
