Homburger advises Solenis on the acquisition of Kolb's paper process chemicals business

On September 30, 2022, Solenis announced that it reached an agreement with Kolb Distribution Ltd., a unit of KLK Kolb Group, to acquire Kolb’s paper process chemicals business. The deal includes a long-term supply agreement, pursuant to which the KLK Kolb Group will manufacture paper process chemicals exclusively for Solenis.

Solenis, owned by Platinum Equity, is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals focused on delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries, including the pulp, packaging paper and board, tissue and towel, oil and gas, petroleum refining, chemical processing, mining, biorefining, power, municipal, and pool and spa markets.

The transaction is expected to be completed before the end of Q1 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.
