Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG Goes Live
Effective November 20, 2016, the newly established Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG commenced operations as the Swiss Universal Bank for Swiss customers within the Credit Suisse Group.
Homburger advised Credit Suisse on Swiss law aspects, including bank regulatory matters and the licensing process with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA, corporate and governance aspects, tax matters, outsourcing framework, etc. in close collaboration and partnership with the General Counsel function of Credit Suisse. René Bösch (partner, Financial Services) led the Homburger team, together with Hansjürg Appenzeller (partner, Corporate / M&A and Financial Services) and Peter Riedweg (partner, Tax). The team comprised further specialists, including Benjamin Leisinger (associate, Financial Services), Nina Hagmann (associate, Corporate / M&A), Simon Bühler, Urs Meier, Martin Grod (all associates, Financial Services), Fiona Sauer (associate, Corporate / M&A), Martin Schenk (associate, Tax) and others.
